Post testing

o.k. so here are a few of pix of me hooking up and testing things.
The M4ATX is real odd. Cant figure out Anti Thump deal Hooked up remote switch for now until I figure out or some one can post a helpful link w/the answer.
I put the MoBo behind the monitor and took out that HDD case that's on the NiTRO. I also attached the M4ATX underneath the AC Vent.

So this entire time I was molding and shaping the bezel for LCD I some how got a crack! Ugh!!! I can handle it, what I can't handle is a f'n ribbon cable for the touchscreen controller getting sliced! Totally pissed me off, cause I don't know when it happened! That's what I get for getting an "open frame" touchscreen! $200 down the drain! Tried repairing w/no avail. Touchscreen does NOT respond. !#$^%^@#$%^!!!!

So I have no touchscreen but the LCD works and I'm completely out of cash flow!!! I need more $$ for cabling, a new touchscreen and a few more things here and there. Project is costing double what I had expected and more!

It was dark but I'll post a couple more pix tomorrow w/the bezel on. The MoBo fit behind there but it's just way too crowded w/wires so I think I'm going to mount the case in the back underneath rear passenger seat. Not sure where I'll put M4.

So I still have a Kenwood HU that needs to go in (Def. Need it!). If I get a diff. monitor I will end up cutting and re-shaping the bezel so I'm going to hold off on that. I'm going to wait on putting on the 3M Carbon Fiber Vinyl as well so that it doesn't go to waist.

The Ipad would be perfect for this- As mentioned by another poster

Can you help me?? lol

I'm a computer (geek) guy, but haven't got a clue about cars. I'd end up ripping the transmission out or something.

Default Winamp in NitroPuter

Sanchize:
I would be curious to get a measuring tape and look at the dimensions of both
the iPad and NiTRO dash.
The hard part here is with controlling the audio from volume to exact EQ settings, to amp for mid's, high's and sub's.
I'm a mobile audio/video enthusiast and a pc geek myself as well.

So I installed winamp and downloaded a plug in that's just like the Sony spectrum analyzer I had previously installed.
I have to say, I'm like how the app's built in EQ handles the sound quality!
I took out the 2 10's I put in the back because iTunes did horrible handling it!
I can't put the 10's back in cuz my back is still jacked up!
Touchscreen Support! http://www.winamp.com/addons/search/touchscreen

again I'm using a 2mg pxl phone for video, holding it while I click away cuz I screwed up the touch screen
clicking annoyed me on playback but was too lazy to redo

Talking NiTRO-Puter update

Hi Fellow NiTRO Geeks.
So I had a couple extra $$ left over after paying some bills w/the income tax. :-)
Since my last Touchscreen no longer worky I started on a search for a new monitor.
I found this one. http://www.short-circuit.com/product/VM92.html
It was 10$ cheaper on ebay but @ there official web site they included the power supply converter for it.

Any who, they have a lot of cool stuff! The last Touchscreen I purchased I tried to contact the same place and the guy/people I was working with just wont respond back so I decided to take my business else were.

So I'm waiting on delivery. I still have a ton of work to do.

Post 9" Monitor

OK. It's come to my attention I don't know what the heck I've been doing!
I've completely messed up this bezel and the Carbon Fiber it had.

It's called poor planning!
Any way here's what I got so far.
I'm going to put the radio above and be w/o 2 vents.
I'll order a new bezel as soon as I find an online website to order from just to keep as a back up.
Any one have any links?

Wow, so you are going to totally remove two vents? I take it you're going to remove all the ducting so the hot air isn't blowing directly on whatever you are putting there?

I wouldn't remove the vents, but it's your ride..

Yes it's been removed, I still have to cover the firewall vent opening that connects that duct.

I know this is starting to look sloppy! LOL But I can't stop now. My fiance/wife thinks I'm an idiot!

I think w/this bezel I'm just going to wing it and I will buy 2 more bezels, one to keep as OEM and the other to brainstorm, I'm sure I can come up w/some thing where I can keep 1 or 2 vents there (even if they're half size!). Yeah I'm not keeping it like this forever, this is Phoenix! It get's up to 118 @ peak! Eeeek!
