For the people that have Nitros with lifetime power train warranty my dealer told me that starting in June 2012 they will be checking all cars and trucks with the lifetime power train warranty's as per Chrysler instructions .

Checking them for what?

Is that lifetime powertrain warranty transferable to a new owner, or is it only for the original owner of the vehicle? My 2007 RT 4x4 unfortunately did not come with the lifetime warranty.

It was only available for the original owner, and requires periodic free inspections.

If you look at your warrantee paperwork, it states that you must return to the dealer EVERY 5 years within 1 month either way of your anniversary date to get it inspected by them. If you do not, the warrantee becomes void.
