No one here has written a How-to for that yet.
But we would not argue if you wanted to write one up. We would love to have one in our knowledge base section.
If you create one post it here for staff to review it before it gets moved to the KB section.

As far as how to actually do it.
Well, the T-stat is not replaced as a separate part. You have to replace the entire housing.

    Disconnect Neg(-) battery cable.
    Remove engine cover.
    Partially drain the antifreeze.
Disconnect the upper radiator hose, and other hoses, from the thermostat housing.(remember where each hose connects)
Remove thermostat housing retaining bolts, support bracket and housing from the head.

Clean old gasket material from the head.
Install new gasket, housing, and support bracket to the head. Torque bolts to 250 in. lbs.(28 N·m.).
Connect the upper radiator hose, and other hoses, to the thermostat housing.
Fill the antifreeze. Install the engine cover. Connect the Neg(-) battery cable.

Your welcome. One thing I forgot to mention is to double check the coolant level after you drive it. As the air works out, the coolant level will drop. You may have to check it 2-3 times before it will be OK.

The issue/problem was that the nitro engine temperature would not warm up to running temperature. I work with an ex mechanic from land rover who said it would be thermostat stuck open causing the engine to stay cool, not restricting the coolant flow when needed. I would get luke warm air blowing into the cab but not hot. Was shocked at the cost of the thermostat. Here in the UK the thermostat costs £200 as you have to buy the whole housing and labour would have been a lot more so going to do it myself. Just need to buy some coolant to top up as I am draining the system. Do you know how much coolant the 2.8CRD takes by any chance?

Ah, yep that would do it.
SM says, 13 Quarts (12 Liters) from totally dry.
    HOAT antifreeze.
