2008 Nitropalooza Meet General Discussion

28787 Views 355 Replies 38 Participants Last post by  NITROVER
Hey everyone,

We (canadianlimey and Waldorf) are hoping to hold a Nitro meet next year and are trying to find out how many people would be interested in attending. More than likely it will be in or around the Niagara Falls area. Having it there means easy access for the Ontario, New York, Michigan, Ohio and Pensylvania members (hey that means you dk). Obviously all members are welcome to attend.
This is only in it's early stages of thought and nothing has been set in stone so any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Graham & John.

I am in the event planning industry and can help with all things Niagara Canada. I have some contact with Fallsview Casino and Hotel and Dragonfly nighclub than can help make our experience as fun as driving our Nitro's.

PS cant wait for the 20-30 Nitro envoy

That's great news Rico, just remember to bring along some or the girls you have on your facebook...;)....:rep:
The possibilities are endless, it depends on level of participation

- Lunch and Dinner spots
- Casino
- Wine tours
- Golf

Basically anything we can drive to. The Wine Tours will be difficult as we most likely will not be able to drive back, lol.

Limey, let me know when you're in Toronto next and I can introduce you!

That sounds great fun . i'd love to be there. I never been to Niagara falls. I beleive it is beautiful in the autumn time. I read the canadian side is better, is that true. why is that.

We would love to have you over for Nitropalooza!

It is beautiful and yes, the Canadian side is better because of how the falls themselves are physically situated. First of all, there are really 2 sets of falls. The one that everybody around the world commonly see in photos is called the "Horseshoe Falls". That's because it is shaped like a horseshoe from above. It is the bigger of the two sets of falls. The other falls are commonly referred to as the "American Falls". These falls are smaller and more or less a straight line of water over the Niagara escarpment.

The Canadian side is best for viewing either set of falls. See my attached photos for more details!
Hey SG, you can still come....just leave the Nitro at home.

The view from the Canadian side is better but the falls are majestic which ever side you view them from. Just standing feet away from the falls and watching all that water power it's way over the edge is to say the least breathtaking. You realize how powerless you really are when compared to mother nature.

It is beautiful this time of year over here in NA. The leaves are changing now into a plethora of color. We cruised the Niagara River (happy now Waldorf) a few years ago and it is truly spectacular. I want to go up to the Agawa canyon in Sault St Marie as well as that is also famous for it's fall colors. Sorry autumn to you guys.

It truly deserved it's ranking as one of the natural wonders of the world! There's that word "plethora" again! :chuckle: so, you did cruise the Niagara!!! In a boat this time, I hope!!

we haven't picked a final date, but we were thinking about picking a weekend in July, then folks such as yourself, can start to plan vacations in the area. :Racing:
Nitropalazoo 2008 Date

OK folks it's finally here....well maybe..

We're thinking of going with the weekend of July 19th & 20th 2008.

Please give us feedback to let us know if this works for you. Nothing is set so we can adjust the date if need be.

Thanks Graham and John
that would be great with me. I apreciate that you guys got the date so soon. It will be easier for me to get the dates I have to bid for my vacation

we were planning on doing this sooner or later, sooner is better for vacation planning! Hope to see you there and get to meet all our forum brothers and sisters! :Banana01:
Sounds ok for me, Not positive yet :thk:
In my experience, picking a date for an event is difficult as not everyone can make it. In some cases, you just have to stick with a date that is convenient for most.

That being said, the weekend of July 19/20 works for me and my Nitro
great here, dead center of my vacations !!!!!! WOUHOU here i come, depending on financial situation, should be a problem tough
