I'm new to this site so forgive me if I'm not posting where I should or anything like that... I'm trying to find someone who can explain to me in great detail how to remove and replace the rear wheel bearings on my 2009 dodge nitro and what tools will be needed?? My warranty JUST went out and now my wheel bearing is messed up. Dodge wants $700 to replace the bearing and that doesn't include mechanics fees. My husband can do it he's just never replaced them on my car or a 4x4 at that. I saw someone mention you have to also replace the assembly kit. If you can please help with this, you'd be my life saver!! I'm a stay at home mom of 3. 2 in school and one only 3 months old; my car is my life source!!

Welcome to the forum Sharon.

When you have a chance, head over to the Newbie Section and say "Hi".

That way we can welcome you all proper like.

Rear wheel bearings are not easy to DIY. You have to partially disassemble the rear differential, to pull the axle, to get to the bearings.
