The 2010 Nitro that I am still in the process of purchasing. has an unusually rough ride on streets and parking lots. I just noticed that the tire pressure is constantly uneven in all 4 tires. Is this normal for this type of vehicle? I have previously driven 4x4 Jeeps and never experience such a rough ride. Or is the suspension possibly shot?

Also the steering is very stiff also, on streets and in parking lots. When parking the steering does not feel like power steering. There appears to be to much play when I am on freeways and highways. Is this anyone else's experience.

Air the tires up to the recommended pressure, check the PS fluid level as well as the belt tension amd condition and try again.
If in doubt it's probably not a terrible idea to take it a reputable shop and have them check the steering and suspension systems out thoroughly.

If that is your rig in your avatar, it looks like it may be lowered.
If that is the case, then all the above could be dead on.

Yes, that is an actual picture of my ride. This Nitro looks like a new vehicle both inside and outside. What do you mean by lowered?

Stock suspension springs removed and replaced with shorter springs.
Lowering the ride height(body lower to the ground).
But it may just be an optical illusion...
You can tell for sure by parking next to another Nitro. If your rig is 2" lower then the other one(providing the other one does not have a lift on it) your rig is lowered.

Agreed.... fender clearance looks less than factory..... but with factory wheels...gives the impression its lowered..... cameras are tricky though for me

Lowering could explain poor ride quality but not the stiff steering.
If the camber was out, it would explain the stiff steering as well as the "loose" feeling at speed.
