20's or 22's

I want to get some rims but I am not sure whether to go with 20's or 22's. I would like to get 22's but I am afraid that due to the shorter tire sidewall that they would be more prone to damage due to potholes on the road. Has anyone with 22's had any issues of this kind.

You want to go with a lower offset when upsizing you whel diameter. An 18-20MM offset should fit fine with no rubbing issues. 265-35 is about as big as you can go without rubbing issues. I'm looking to upgrade to 22's from 20's in the first half of 09.
I have 22's on my Dakota right now and being that it is a heavier vehicle the ride is very smooth. 265-40's on it.
