I apologize if this has been discussed in the past...I did a search and couldn't seem to come up with anything. I am thinking about the 3M clear bra for the front of my Nitro. Are they worth the money? Also, where have you found the cheapest place to buy them? Thank you for all of the input and please feel free to give any advice on this matter. Thanks again!

It depends, how much is it? and are you planning on keeping the vehicle a long time? Then maybe.

The Nitro has some pretty broad flat angles on the front and is susceptible to chips especially on the hood edge, bumper and fenders

I plan on driving it till the wheels fall off, and then replacing the wheels and driving it some more!

I found the 3M "platinum" package on eBay for $215 plus shipping...is that high? It seems to pretty much cover everything on the front of the vehicle.

^^^^^ That is funny!!!!

I have seen it used on the trailing edge of the rear wheel on some GM trucks. Worked ok. That is probably the most extreme abuse it could possibly take though, so for a bra type application, I think it would work quite well.

My friend had it put on his corvette 3 years ago and it has lost its shine and black on the edges. they want 275.00 to take it off. I had thought about doing it but not now. The bug shield works good for the hood. The rest i don't know maybe paint every 3 years????

It is very useful in northern climates where there is a lot of sand put on the roads in winter. If a lot of hwy driving is done, it's almost like getting sandblasted if you follow vehicles too close, especially transports. I use it and like it.
