press load....and the number that you want that cd in and the screen will say please wait...then load cd, just place the cd at the opening, it will load it in the selected spot, then just repeat until all slots are full. to remove hit the eject button(the one on the left) and it will displat the numbers, select the number and the cd will come out...in that task it will go to the load option if she wants to replace the one removed she can do it at this time.....good luck.

When I brought mine home, the first thing I did was attempt to put some CDs' in. I was really steamed. I was sure I had to bring it right back to have the head unit replaced. I'm accustomned to handling my CDs' very gently. My Lincoln only requires that I offer the edge of the CD into the slot and it sucks it right in. The Nitro seemed to refuse to take the CDs' in, only spinning them around and scratching them up. The next day, when I got up to take my truck back and raise a stink, I tried one last time. Figuring I had nothing to loose, I grabbed a crappy CD and really jammed it in there. The mechanism just needed to know who was boss. I guess it takes more elbow greese than I was used to, but it works. This had nothing to do with your question, just venting.

the Nitro seems to want the disc to be presented at a downward (towards the headunit) angle not straight in as most cars.

CD Changer

Another feature I found with the standard 6 x CD changer which excludes the navigation system (for those of you that might not know). You don't really need to use an iPOD for tons of MP3 songs, I find it quite amazing to create a 4.7GB blank DVD written with approx. 1800 MP3 songs, separated by artist folders etc. Then use the list button to scroll through the folders. Although it's a known feature that music DVD's may be played, but normally mp3's can only be played on CD media.

I bought my wife a Lexus and believe me it has features the Nitro will never dream of. But guess what? It can only play mp3's on CD media and this system includes the navigation system, dvd screen etc. So good stuff Nitro!

I've never had a problem loading disks not has the changer scratched any of mine.

The DVD thing is very cool. I also load up the changer with MP3's. The only problem is that you have to spend quite a bit of time setting up all the folders as the Nitro has limited file navigation. Ther also is no random play feature.
