Hello everyone, i'm new here.
I have a 2008 Nitro R/T 4.0 4x4 and i need to find a new pcv valve due to when i start my Nitro there is a huge amount of white smoke that comes out of my exhaust. My uncle knows a lot about cars and he believes it's the PCV valve. But if you guys know of another reason for the smoke i'd love to know about it. If it is the PCV valve, i would love to know where to find them.

Thanks in advance,
Zach

Any parts store or Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealer. White smoke is usually water/coolant. Blue smoke is burning oil, which can happen with a PCV valve. Black smoke is too much gas, or your a douche with a diesel pickup that has smoke stacks.

Do you live in a cold climate? Humid climate? Normal in those areas. If it does not go away after a few min, then you have a problem. Head gasket failures are common on 3.7 and 4.7 engine. Are you loosing any coolant? Does it run okay?

hey NitroChemist, i live in Illinois so i mean its kinda all around weather. The smoke disappeared after after maybe 5 seconds. i took it to the dealership i bought it at (sadly was a Mazda dealer) they originally had thought it was all of the valves in the engine so they replaced all of them and put lucas through the engine, but it did not fix the problem upon me receiving the car back for a few days. I took my Nitro back in and they replaced the PCV valve and i was just let known today that the car is finished, going to pick it up tomorrow. hoping for the best and min Thankig God hat i got a warrenty when i bought it

Did they do a head work on it? It's the only way to replace head valves. Take a picture next time. If it's running good. It's normal. SUV's have larger exhaust pipes than cars. Larger pipes collect more humidity and moister. Does the exhaust pipe have a white film on it? Does it have droplets of water coming out? Dropplets are a sign of a good running engine.
