I live in Phoenix, and my 2007 RT air won't blow cold. It has never blown more than cool, but if it is above about 90 degrees (remember Phoenix), the center vent barely blows cool on full speed with recirc on. It's been to the dealer twice, and they have even removed some coolant once. They say it meets factory specs, but compared to other cars, it just won't blow cold. Any suggestions? If I don't get colder air the Nitro goes.
I am having the same problem. The dealer said that it is working within specifications, 3 times.
Mine runs 53+ deg @ 80 deg ambient air temp. and takes 30 minutes of driving to cool the cab.
After much research, I found this information.
So here is what I found.
"Operate the heating-A/C system under the following conditions.
-Engine at 1000 RPM at operating temp
-Door or windows open
-Transmission in park or neutral with parking brake set
-A/C-heater controls set to Recirculation mode (max-A/C), full cool, panel mode, high blower and with A/C compressor engaged.
Insert a thermometer in the driver side center panel air outlet and operate the vehicle a minimum of ten minutes to allow the thermometer temperature to stabilize.
With the A/C compressor clutch engaged, compare the air temperature at the center panel outlet and the A/C compressor discharge pressure (high side) to the A/C Performance Temperature and Pressure chart. The compressor clutch may cycle, depending upon the ambient temperature and humidity. If the clutch cycles, use the readings obtained before the clutch disengaged."
Thank you, NitroTech for deleting the original chart Pic.
Here is a new one.
Now that I have this information, I will be making another trip to the dealer.
