Has anyone installed an after market flip down or DVD headrests and and connected it back to the myGIG system. I wanted to save money and get a bigger screen by backing away from the factory VES. I also noticed that the option on the myGIG is greyed-out, thus looking like it can be installed. My final mod (if possible) would be a aftermarket flip down controlled by both the speaker system and the flip down and also having a AUX video channel like the stock VES when installed.

Lilsalmon has installed an aftermarket flip-down screen and might be able to help you.

I will be watching, as this is my next project as soon as a few of my others are completed. I am currently installing a Carputer connected to a 7" touchscreen that sits in the dash shelf.

I have a ACT 10.4" flipdown installed works like a charm however I don not have the myGig headunit, I have a Clarion Max675vd. I have photos coming.... be prepared if you have a sunroof to purchase the factory bracket to even have a chance at installing it.

How much is the OEM bracket? I've done a few for dealers but just ran to the local True Value for a few pieces of aluminum for about $8.

I think I paid $47 from the dealer. It makes life ALOT easier....
