If you happen to have the the heater on defrost the a/c clutch will run. This is normal. The a/c compressor runs to remove humidity from the air inside.
Air condition clutch
I have notice that the clutch engage when the engine is running. While air condition is off. Has anybody notice this on the vihecle and if is normal. :thk:

Thanks, nitrolarry. I though there was something wrong. Was ready to take to get it fix..
Our trailblazer used to do the same thing. I always thought something was wrong too. Good question though. Helps to eliminate things that aren't really problems.
