Hi all,

The airbag light on my dashboard has been light for awhile Finally got a mechanic with code reader to find out that it’s the passenger headrest airbag sensor. He didn’t have any further details on what issue is. So, any advice of ideas on how to either

A) find the sensor?

And/or

B) Fix or temporarily disable the sensor till I can find a replacement part?

Thanks any advice on this would be appreciated.

Have the same issue but my son has the Nitro. Told him to take to auto parts so they can give him code for driver or passenger side. What is usually the problem? Loose connections? Thanks!

Hard to say for sure. We did have a recent member with a bad clockspring and the airbag light on.
But that was for the front airbags.
For a headrest light it very well may be the wires.
Before doing any work on the Nitro, disconnect the Neg (-) battery cable, isolate It, and wait 10 minutes!
This will allow time for the airbag capacitors to discharge.
You don't want to have your airbags go off accidentally.
It has already happened to a few members here...
