Hello ... I am new to the forum and fairly new to the Nitro (Oct 07) ... I'd like to throw out a question re my ebrake boot cover. When I purchased my Nitro the ebrake cover underside zipper was broken and I had to order a new one for replacement (fyi HUGE project - the entire console has to be replaced!!) Anyway once it was replaced and I had it back from servicing (a whole 10 minutes!) I released the ebrake and the zip broke again. It took since November to get another replacement one and book another service visit ... and after they "cut and re-soldered" my command start wires (because apparently they were in the way) during this particular service call they returned my keys. Once in the vehicle I released the ebrake and guess what?!?!?! Yes, the zip broke AGAIN! They are now in the process of sending it to an upholsterer to have it sewn shut.
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY RIDICULOUS PROBLEMS LIKE THIS WITH THEIR ZIPPER?? I'd sure love to hear from you ...

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about the zipper issue. Oddly some of us have this and others never have the issue. I am wondering if this is an installation problem in your case.

It does not seem that every one of the new boots would be defective.

Well yes, this one time I was in grade school and someone walked up to me and said "Dude, your fly's down...". Boy was that embarassing.

Seriously though, this was a big topic of discussion a few months back. Several people had this same exact problem. I think one or two had theirs replaced several times. Hope the upholsterer can solve it once and for all.

Welcome to the forum too. You'll enjoy this place.

Not sure if it's bad etiquette or not, but since you all have been so helpful so far can I ask another? Anyone experiencing a noise (?rubbing/squeal?) on hard left turns? I seem to have only noticed it turining off the alley into the garage - but a friend bought the exact same make/model and when we were out for a drive I heard it in his Nitro too and the left didn't even have to be as sharp. Thanks for listening ...
