Hey Whats Up. I Am In Ontario Oregon. Limited Resources Here. Internet Is My Only Life Line For Cars. I Have Always Owned Lowered Cars So Lifted Is A Little Different For Me. I Need To Raise My 2007 Nitro. I Have A Throttle Body Spacer Flowmaster 50 Series Exhaust And Eliminated Airbox On Top Of Engine. What Else Is There To Do To A Nitro. What Kind Of Tires (mostly Size) Can I Go With. I Want An Aggressive Vehicle That Is Still Reliable. Help Please

I suggest a set of headers as your next step. I am quite pleased with the results of my JBA headers.

Thanks For All Your Replies. I Am An Extreme Car Builder. (although Low Budget) I Am Looking To Pop In A 2 Inch Raise. Suspension I Am Rather Decent With, Lots Of Experience With Experience. However, The Engine Is My Biggest Concern At The Moment. I Traded In My Lexus Is300 For The Nitro. I Have Been Searching For Parts And They Seem Quite Limited. This Is Not Good For People Like Myself. Although The Apearence Has To Be Fairly Simple Looking, Performance Is A Must. I Know Lots Of Horsepower Is Not Needed For Off Road, But I Am Not Normal. Throttle Response Is Horrible In This Vehicle, And Accelerator Delay Is Less Than Desirable. Does The Jet Chip Help With Any Of This. (i Have The Manual 6 Spd Tranny)

I Do All My Own Mods In The Comfort Of My Own Garage. None Of My Friends In California Have Ever Dealt With Something Of This Type, The Vehicle Is Quick, I Beat A Civic No Problem But Not Enough For Me. I Have To Anihalate All Hondas At All Times. I Am Building A 1989 Toy Pu To Be My Honda Killer But It Is A Ways Away. Until Then I Need This To Suffice My Hunger For Extreme Driving Whether It Be Off Road Or On Street. Belive It Or Not I Have Already Taken This Relativley Stock Nitro Up A Hill Not Sure Of The Incline, But I Do Know I Had To Open The Doors To See The Road. Need Power, And Then Some

Yes the Jet stage 2 chip helps quite a bit, but for me it worked best when combined with the exhaust and intake mods. I am now VERY happy with my throttle response and I am used to driving a big block Vette with 3 2BBl carbs and a Muncie 4 speed. The Nitro is no hot rod but now it feels much more fun. Be happy you have the 6-speed as the 4speed auto is somewhat problematic and unresponsive.

Unfortunately the aftermarket does not support the 3.7V6 very well. There are no cams, heads intake manifolds, turbos, blowers etc. If you want a serious HP bump, your only choice is a universal wet Nitrous system-- not quite low buck and not good for engine longevity.

I have also heard that someone makes a gadget that helps the delay in the drive-by wire throttle-- I have not found it yet.

Also the Nitro gets noticably more powerful after you hit 7-10Kmiles-- not sure why.

Thanks If You Find The Mod For The Drive By Wire Issue I Would Greatly Appreciate Your Help. I Would Never Put Nos On Anything I Own. I Think Its Just A Cheap Way To Go Fast For A Couple Of Seconds, Building A Real Engine Is Second To None. If I Was Gonna Spray Something I Would Have Just Bought A Civic Or Some Other Honda. I Know The Nitro Will Never Be A Hot Rod, Just Hoping To Have Enough To Get Out Of My Own Way. How Much Improvement Do Headers Give?

I Do Know In My Lexus Is300 Also A (fly By Wire) Spacer In The Throttle Linkage Inside The Car Connected To The Pedal Is All That Was Required. Took Me Around 10 Minutes To Install. I Read It Tricks Your Throttle Read Out. It Worked Really Well On My Lexus. Not Sure If The Nitro Would Work The Same Way. I Am Going To Try It Next Week End. If It Works I Will Post With Pics.
