Hey you got the same answers I did , & searching the net has not produced anything. Gonna be one of those wait & see things I guess.:shakehead:
Can you squeeze in the Liberty Headers if you go with a custom exhaust after the collectors? The Liberty headers have been out for a while now. The Nitro headers may be in production in approximately 30-45 days or so.
So does that mean that JBA studied the stock exhaust manifold and concluded that Headers would not add that much of a boost? If you use Liberty headers you won't have a fitting to connect the EGR system. Nitros have an EGR valve (at least mine does). If you were to cut the header and weld a fitting on you'd probably be voiding any header warranty.
I inquired yesterday as to what parts the exhaust system might include. They stated that the only restrictive parts on the OEM system were the muffler and the tailpipe. They said it had an excellent "y" pipe.
In actuality who knows what they'll manufacture? I don't work for JBA, I just loaned them my Nitro for 3 days for the R&D. I inquired about exhaust systems from them back in January when I bought it. They called me last week in response to the e-mail, stating that they needed a vehicle to prototype with, and if I was still willing to loan mine.
No, just that the "y" pipe has good flow. From what they said, they will be manufacturing headers like the Liberty except with a fitting to accomodate the EGR.So does that mean that JBA studied the stock exhaust manifold and concluded that Headers would not add that much of a boost?

They didn't say anything about the cat converter/s. They didn't share with me what the dyno results were either. I imagine that they post them on their website when they start production. They have other dyno results there.Gregg,
When you talked to JBA, did the say anything about the flow of the stock Nitro catalytc converter? Do we only have one on the Nitro?
All my V8 cars have 2. I wonder if going to 2 cats with real duals makes any sense on a small V6 like this?
I'm sure you've already seen this, but the JBA's are available now.Just curious if anybody has any info on headers being available. I contacted Gibson, they stated it would depend upon the amount of inquiries they receive, and JBA (twice with no responses). I'd like to install a catback but I'm willing to wait until I can install headers at the same time.
Yea, I called them this past Thursday to inquire about them. They've manufactured the headers, they just need to box them. When JBA borrowed my Nitro for the R&D they stated that I'd be getting a pair gratus for loaning them the vehicle. No word on that yet but with selling my house and moving into a new one, I don't have a lot of time to install them right now anyway. After the move I'll probably park the Nitro during the weekdays due to the cost of gas for commuting to work. I'm looking into getting a Harley for commuting.I'm sure you've already seen this, but the JBA's are available now.
