I am currently in Iraq as a contractor and intend on purchasing a Dodge Nitro through AAFES when I leave in October 2008. My question is this. Are there any new updates on what the 2009 Dodge Nitro will have for new or additional options? I am planning to get the 4X4 R/T version when the time comes.

Any help would be greatly apperciated.

I haven't heard anything about the 2009's yet. The 2008's have only been released recently so it will probably be the middle of next year before we hear anything.

I figured as much. I was hoping that maybe someone here might have a little insight as to some new cool guy features or options that will be available next year. I am planning to order one anyway. I was just looking to see what might be there.

It would be nice if they dropped a Hemi in it for 2009, but I don't think there's been any talk of it in the car magazines, so that means we probably won't see one in 2009. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they had one.

From what I read, I think the only thing you can look for would be better and more creature comforts if anything for 09' E.P.A. dictates what engine will go in what model. They might discontinue the 3.7L option or beef up the 4.0L in the nt to distant future.

I would like more features like heated and cooled seats. It is the little things that would mae a world of difference in my opinion. I love the look of the vehicle all ready and I would not change a thing there. Maybe a camera in the back or something like that. Just thinking out loud.
