Does the 08 Nitro use the "infamous" 42LRE 4-Speed Automatic transmission ??

Any Transmission problems with the new 08 Nitro ??

Haven't had any yet - had it about 6 weeks and have about 2100 miles on it.

Bought one in Oct. Haven't had anything but trouble with the transmission. Fourth trip to service dept. and they are telling me now they can't feel anything wrong. Going to drive it in Wed. and tech going for a ride with me. It surges back and forth and anyone can feel it.This is my last time to deal with them. Chrysler will be my next call.

there is a TSB out for them and the same probs for 2007 seem to have rolled over to the 2008 year.
time will tell.
