I see *** motorsports has their kit as being the same for either model.

Yet all the other manufacturers have their kit listed as the 3/7 kit, with very little in the way of offerings for the R/T.

I'm fit to be tied trying to find stuff for my R/T.

I didn't want to go custom exhaust route but may end up doing just that.

My local *** distributor says they can't get the nitro part at all. I am getting quotes for shipping of like 100 bucks and more to canada from the US for the *** part. Don't see anything from magnaflow or borla or gibson or anyone..

So what I'm wondering is *** offers a seemingly universal kit.. What gives with everyone else.. or am I asking for trouble with the *** one..:confused:

As well..:SHOCKED::chuckle:

I'm trying to find an AEM intake for the R/T and most places I call can't get the #. Ultrarev is out of comission until the SEMA show is over I hope they can help me. I tried intakesystems.com and for my troubles ended up finally getting a refund after a paypal investigation..

Maybe you could call the dealer's parts dept and ask them to compare part numbers. If they're the same then there's no difference. With the exception of exhaust manifolds there may be not a lot of difference. The .3 liter difference between the engines probably doesn't create a whole heck of a lot more exhaust volume.

As best that I can tell, the exhaust is identical from the Moffler back. the pipe diameters are all the same and the mufflers are the same.

I can't positively say that the length from the cat to the Muffler is the same.

I think it is a safe bet that worst case you need to weld or clamp in a small piece of pipe or cut some off to use a 3.7L exhaust on t 4.0.

One more comment.

A custom exhaust will cost you less installed than a cat back that you have to install yourself---- if you find the right shop.

i have an R/T (4.0) i ordered the magnaflow system that is listed for the Nitro (3.7) from summit racing
i have had the system on the R/T now for over 4 months with no problmes. the systems are exactly identical from where the rear cold end bolts to the front hot end.
clamps, length, mounting, tip position are all identical

you may want to check summit racing great prices and very affordable shipping
