Took a heat gun, WD-40, and fishing line, to remove the body side moulding on my wife's Chrysler 300c SRT8.

Was hoping this can be done on the Nitro? Then again, maybe too old to do it and would leave a dark paint mark.

I did my wife's car when it was new.

The molding on the nitro can be done. But then you are left with a couple little holes (if I remember correctly) and a groove down the side of the doors. The molding sits in a groove on each door

ah if that's the case, then never mind.
Yeah, i was thinking of doing the same thing until I noticed that. Then was thinking about doing it and filling in the groove then taking it to a body shop. But that was more than I was wanting to pay
