Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems with my Nitro. It's a 2008. The funny thing was when they built it (it was factroy ordered), it was 4 weeks late. The story I was given was that it was held up for quality inspection. They must have gone over it with a fine tooth comb, because there's been nothing wrong so far. I've had it since October and it's got 14K miles on it already.

I have a 2007 R/T with 54,000 miles and the only problem I have had is with the roof rails breaking. The dealer replaced them with no problem. I even still have decent tread on the original tires. I have been very happy with the Nitro so far.

at the 20,000 mile mark. Knock Wood no problems.

Yes, all it did stahl out one time when making a very tight turn in the parking lot but now I don't make such tight turns :) and yes while driving all the lights came on and the radio shut off but then came right back on. Like the onboard computer had a brain freeze. Gas mileage is still the low mark around 17MPG mostly city but I can live with that... at least till gas gets up to $5.00 a gallon. :(
Overall I am very happy with my Nitro SLT 4x4

No major problems, only minor problems typical to a new vehicle.

With mine, it's simply my "issue" with their progrmming for the transmission.

"-)

ps ... I'm just about at 6K mileage, almost 4 months of ownership.

I have had mine since Feb. 07 it has 35,000 miles on it and the only problem I had was the roof rail lifting. That happened one morning on the way to work when the outside temperature was -20 F. Yes you saw that correctly, it was minus 20 degree fahrenheit. I have taken it in for the recalls on the engine stalling. Otherwise it is awesome and I love it. Knock on wood so that I don't jinx myself.

Nitro SLT (Black)

My Nitro is one year old next month. I think we went in for one recall, think it was a transmission or break deal, took like 10 minutes on the computer. That front plastic roof rail up on one side has lifted a little bit, but its not bothering me right now and I'll get it fixed one of these days. I got the G package with the heated leather seats and like a warm butt in the winter, but had the top open at noon today as temps are nearing 70s now, and will use it until it gets too hot and the AC will take over. My Nitro fits me well, I'm 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and I just slide into it, good fit, nice driving. No comlaints at all and wish I could keep it clean all the time. So I've got a pretty problem free driver....

I've had my Electric blue SLT since Sept. of 07 and the only issue I've had was a faulty TPM sensor that the dealer replaced no problem. I got hit by a stupid woman on the passenger front that did minimal damage. All is good. I have about 12,000 miles on it and tow a 1,880 lb travel trailer. I love my Nitro

I think they lost that comb when they built mine...

I hear rumors that they are indeed working on a solution, but can't talk about it just yet. I sure hope so, the transmission shudder seems to be the most pervasive problem with the Nitro.

I'm going in again tomorrow (at about 6000 miles) and they are going to "flash" the tranny programming again, and bump it back into Learn Mode, and I'm taking time off of work mid-day so I can "drive it like I stole it" while it's in the Learn Mode. Hopefully it will learn to shift more appropriately to my normal driving.

well keep us posted, I'm sure I am not alone in wanting to know what the results will be
