So this has been going on since I bought it. I have a 2008 Dodge Nitro RT, and Im pretty sure its the factory infinity AMP. From October to May, my radio works perfectly fine, and then in June, it starts to fizzle out to nothing until October again. I live in Florida, so there is no winter here. I have not worn anything above a long sleeve shirt since 1995. So Im thinking it may have something to do with the humidity. I know it is not the stereo or my wiring so pretty much just leaves the factory AMP. If I turn the radio up to full blast I will hear crackling and witht he radio turned all the way down I will hear the speakers pop. If I replace the infinity AMP with an aftermarket, will I need to order a Wire harness for it? How many channels does the factory AMP have?
