I tried this and it works for me, I have an SXT without EVIC and I want to program it to unlock the doors when I put it in park, can you get it to do this on a non EVIC nitro? Thanks.

I have to try that. IT makes me nuts. I work out of my nitro and every time I go to open the hatch, its locked.

It only works once for me and then stops -- I had the dealer do it.

I tried it a few times, so far it isnt working. I think I was holding the lock key instead of just pressing it. I'll try again.

I tried this technique on my 6 speed manual transmission, but it only works 1 time. After stopping and restarting the 2nd time, it does not work.

Any advice?

I have thoroughly scanned the owner's manual but have not been able to find a section that states this is possible without the EVIC installed.
