Auto up/Auto Down windows

Is it possible to turn off/on the auto up option on the front windows? My auto up stopped working and I'm wondering if it's a programing issue. Everything else works normally.

I've never seen the ability to disable/enable this feature. Assuming you have an SLT or RT it would probably be in the EVIC, in the Personal Settings. You can get to it with the key on & the trans in Park, click the top left button on your steering wheel a few times.

Are you sure your pushing/pulling the button far enough? If I push/pull lightly on mine, they go up & down like normal. 1/2 way down I can feel the button click & it goes into auto up/down mode.

Did you do anything with the door recently, or have it in the shop for something door related? I only ask this, as I had to take mine in to get the door locks fixed (weren't working), they ended replacing the TIPM (fuse box under the hood). But in the process of them taking apart the doors to check for shorts, they somehow also 'broke' my auto-up for the windows. The windows themselves still worked, only the auto-up wasn't. I took it back and they fixed it pretty quick, unfortunately I don't know what they actually did. Maybe a loose connection?
found out what it was...

I had taken it in for a lift late in the afternoon. They started working on it but I left it overnight (it was the plan). Anyways, they had disconnected the battery as any good mechanic would and, somehow, the programing lost a few things. I took it into the dealership and they reset the program. I was in and out in about 30 minutes...fixed.

Why does that sentence scare me? :)

Just wondering if anyone else can confirm that? Does disconnecting the battery really cause the vehicle to lose (reset?) options?
The only things I lost were the radio & clock settings expected that ,Took couple min. to reset. Don't think you are supposed to lose anything else though not that I ever heard of anyway.
Clarification

It was disconnected for almost 2 days.... I also forgot to mention that in order for them to get to the upper strut mounting bracket, they had to disconnect the fuse box.

I don't know if that makes a difference. Plus that's just a theory and what the technicians said was the likely cause...
Yes, just programing issue. If you disconnect the battery you have to "train the auto up and down again".
Push the down button and hold it even after it hits the bottom for a few seconds. Then pull up and hold the button until the window is up all the way and hold it up for a few seconds.
That is what I did to mine and they were back to normal. The computer will learn the up and down limits and know how to control the windows.

2B7387, thanks, worked like a charm!!!
Is the auto up/down only on slt and r/t models? I know I have auto down but haven't been able to get the auto up to work.
It should be all models. I test drove an SXT that had it. It is only on the front windows. The rears have no auto feature on any model.
