I have a 2007 sxt and I got like I dunno someone told me water stains... I dunno. But I know it's just needs a good cleaning. So if anyone knows of a Good cleaner/best cleaner that will remove stains and make it look like new let Me know
I use Resolve Professional grade spray (WalMart or any other dept. store) I let it set for quite a while wet vac it out and wet it down really good vac it up and repeat until all the cleaner is out. In my experience if you do not get all the cleaner out, it seems to attract more dirt in the areas the cleaner was. After doing this I cannot tell any difference form being a new carpet.
Guys, I'm so embarrassed to even show pics of these seats. My moms used this vehicle for her business and just abandon the Nitro afterwards, so I'm trying to bring it back to life. Not sure how well this Resolve Professional grade spray works but I will give it a try. If anyone can recommend anything else please share. And if you have any before and after pics please share
Honestly, the easiest thing to do is to rent a carpet cleaner from Lowe's or Home Depot and get the upholstery attachment. Use it as intended and it will come clean with no problem. Someone apparently spilled oil on my load tray, because I must have cleaned out close to a quart of dark brown gunk off of that thing. The carpets came out really clean as well. Vastly improved the smell of the interior as well. Now I just need to go after the headliner, a soda must have exploded in that truck before I purchased it.
Now that Scar is embarrassed to show his seats, I wanna see pics of members who have the filthiest seats. I honestly thought mines was the dirtiest. Don't be embarrassed, Guys.....let us see
I removed so much junk from this Nitro today, but look at what I will be dealing with this weekend. Making this have a glow will be difficult......Any products that come to mind that can help this situation please share
Wow. That's pretty rough looking. My best suggestion is a bucket of water, plenty of towels, and a bottle of Simple Green. Or... If you wanted to take the time, you could remove the entire tray (a little involved & requires tools), and power wash it. A question... Do you have the reversible cover that goes over the catch tray? The reason I ask, is a buddy of mine's wife wrecked his Nitro & he is parting it out. He gave me the cargo tray cover and his CAI. I plan on installing the CAI into my Nitro, but I will send you the cover tray if you need one. Just PM me if interested. The cargo tray sells for about $100 on Ebay & I believe about twice that from a Dodge dealer.
Yes a upholstery attachment for a carpet cleaner works well or a small hand held steam cleaner like a black & decker
Metaldog, It's a bit beat up but I do have it..... removed it to clean out the mess. Is the one you have in good shape? Can I see some pics of it? And how much? Or are you giving it to me FREE OF CHARGE because this is what this forum does for the "Newbies"
DK1677, home depot rents one for $21 a day so I will be renting one next week. DK1677, what part of NY do you reside in? Also, can anyone tell me how many members are on the east coast? When I say east coast, I mean PA,NY,MA,CT,RI,NJ....close in comparison to where I am lol
Bigfeet51, I will take pics of it, and send them in a PM to you. May be a day or two before I have the opportunity to do so. But, I'm sure we can work something out.
The look of this bothers me much so I attempted to remove this back panel to clean up this mess. I removed to screws towards the front but the others I don't see. Guys point me in the right direction PLEASE. The look of that bothers me so much
