I tried searching, couldn't find an answer (pretty sure that there is one in here somewhere). According to the VIN, my wife's new (to her) Detonator has a factory remote start. The only key she was provided is the 3 button fob, not the 4 button one. How can I determine if it does in fact have the remote start installed? Not being familiar with the Nitro, don't know where to look to see if something is there or not.

The factory remote start keyfob is the one with 4 buttons, which leads me to believe that the remote you were provided is not original to the vehicle. You could test it by pushing the lock or unlock button 3 x's.

As with most aftermarket remote starters (that use the factory fob), hitting the lock or the unlock buttons activates the starter. If that does not work, then I would be looking to get a 4 button remote. You should be able to find one on Amazon or Ebay fairly inexpensively. But the new remote would need to be programmed to the vehicle.
