In the next week or two, I will be installing a new Borla exhaust system on my 2007 black Nitro 4.0 R/T. I will be doing a step-by-step set of photos along with verbiage explaining how the install went; including the tools required as well as any problems incurred along the way. Will keep you posted.
I am really excited about doing this as the OE exhaust system leaves a lot to be desired.

Ok, so I finally got around to installing the Borla system on my 2007 R/T. I had all these great plans to take a bunch of photos but installing this system was so simple, the truck was out of my garage from start to finish in 45 minutes. With no traditional hangers to take off and the fact the OE muffler came off with one hit of a hammer, the old system was on the ground in 10 minutes. The new Borla system fit absolutely perfect, looks awesome and sounds nice; I'd say about 25% louder the the original. Can't really notice much difference in performance. I was amazed how rusty the OE muffler was for being 5 months old. Minnesota winters are tough on exhaust. The Borla system is so darn pretty, a guy should be under there polishing it! Even if you don't notice any performance difference, the sound alone will make it seem so much more worth while..

Ok, so here are a couple three photos of the Borla system on my R/T. It sounds better every day and the power increase is noticeable. Will check the mileage this weekend as it appears winter is over. I blew-out 11" of snow on Tuesday and washed and waxed the car yesterday. Go figure. Anyway, I have a few more photos if you'd like to see them. Advise. P.S. The shine is thanks to: Meguiar's NXT liquid wax, Meguiar's Ultimate Detailer and Meguiar's Hot Shine. (Tires) On a 340 mile trip this weekend, she averaged 22.3 which is about 2mpg better. So, I've very happy with the Borla system!

I would really like to hear that thing! I love the look. Are you happy with it? I just don’t want my V6 sounding like a ricer when I get on it. I want something that sounds like a v8 deep and roars when I start it but does not drive you crazy at highway speeds.

Did you drive in the MN winter with the stock RT tires & wheels? I am also from MN & after the first snow I bought winter tires & rims. I was alot happier after that. I knew a crash was in my future if I didn't. Exhaust looks great. Where did you get it?
