Hey everyone,

I just bought my new inferno red Nitro SXT . I just put Flowmaster Super 44's on it with a double billet tip. I didn't go for the kit because the car already has 2.5" pipes anyways. The shop even let me "test sound" different manufacturers and styles. The 44's sounded the least like an import so I went for them.

I just wanted some praise or criticism. Cabin noise isn't too bad, just a nice rumble. Let me know if anyone needs audio of inside.

Yes.. It is an SXT. I found it with what Dodge calls the "Appearance Package." Everything is painted except for the bottom front and side trim. I think that works out perfect since I really don't have to worry about rocks chipping the paint.

Thanks for the compliment. Im sure anything is possible to get taken care of at the dealership for money. The option was around $250 or so from the dealership. It was the only inferno red nitro with this option for about 200 miles. The dealer had to do a dealer trade to get it for me. The exhaust cost $300 from the local shop. From the quotes I was receiving at different shops (some as much as $550), this was the best. They did a good job installing the muffler and taking out the stupid resonator. I still don't know if I like the tips or not. I like the vintage retro look of them, but I have always been a straight pipe kinda guy.

Thanks for the feedback.. I'm not too worried about the rain though since there are holes. Also, I live in So. California where this year we had a whopping inch or two of rain. We pointed the tips downward while test fitting and it didn't look 100%. It was either these tips or standard round ones and i just had to be different.

Sounds good.

Did you keep the factory resonantor on this or did you go with a straight pipe out of the 44?

You said 44's does that mean you used 2 mufflers?
