Hey Everyone. I just bout an 07 Sunburst Orange Pearl Dodge Nitro a couple weeks ago. Sadly, Ive had in the shop getting a lot of things fixed, all under warranty and by the dealer of course, but most recently, the drivers side door handle broke. I was at Walmart, and when I opened it, it broke inside and the door would not latch shut. I had to drive home, holding it closed, and then back to a dealership the next day the same way.
It turned out that a rod inside the door was bent. There was a warning sign of this, which may happen to some of you. When I would start driving and the automatic locks would engage, they would click about 4 of 5 times very loudly, almost sounding like a gun. I thought it was just a cool locking feature, but turns out it was all because of the bent bar in the drivers side door. So be on the lookout for that.
I have to say though that I LOVE my nitro. Its definitely an eye catcher. Its probably the coolest vehicle I've ever owned, and the coolest any 22 year old could own.
