Our RT came from the dealer there in Lumberton, odd coincidence? The dealers here didn't seem to get many RT's. Let us know the next time you come this way...we'll have to make an impromptu show of it at a local restaurant and see if we can't create some buzz! Maybe we can help get some more Nitro's on the road.

I think that you are one of the 4 Nitros that I have seen on the road around here. I live in the Preston area--- near neighbor to you. My daughter graduated from Green Hope high down the road from you.
Dadgummit! I hate this new computer...it keeps dropping/erasing my messages before I can send them...here we go again. Howdy neighbor Ken. Our Saturday morning is getting busy but I just noticed the Andy's restaurant at Morrisville Market is hosting a drive in every last saturday, which is this saturday...if you are not busy in the afternoon maybe we can invade that and get in a first meet.
The following weekend we fly to Wichita for a family reunion with my birth family...I was adopted and just found my birth mother and half sister, so thats kind of exciting. Wierd thing is they all started here in High Point around 1750 where the fmily cabin stands as part of the museum there. I need to go there one weekend this fall and register myself as a Hockett and check out the family history, see where it all started. I'm still trying to figure out this weird circle where I'm ending up whe re we started.
You probably have seen us...we are the Stone White R/T 4x4 with the chrome rock rails and tow package. I've only noticed a Black R/T and a Silver SLT on the road so far. Youve more likely seen me in the '05 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Coupe (Crystal Red) we just got. I haven't missed one opportunity to go top down and tail up, LOL!

I am not sure about Saturday-- depends if it is good boating weather. What time in the afternoon? I have never been to Andy's but I think Morrisville Market is the same shopping center where Smitfield's is off Davis.
Sounds like an exciting time for you. If you are into Genology, reach out to any friends who are Mormons. By the nature of their religion, they have access to many resources of family history.
My Nitro is a black SXT 6-speed--- all stock on the outside for now except for the bug shield and hitch cover. The tip off that it is mine is the black and red leather seats. See gallery for a picture of mine.
I have headers sitting in my garage but along with other things, I have not had time to do anything with them.
If not this Saturday, we'll get together another time. There is also a guy in Rocky Mount on the Forum that might come down for get together.

I'm very impressed by your involvement here at the forum Terry. After what you went through with the first Nitro, many people would be less than willing to forget about it and get on with things. I haven't read one complaint since then and now I read your trying to set up a gab and show. You're an asset to this forum.:rep:

I only ever swore off Chrysler products for a ten year period when we got shafted on a, dare I say... Eagle Premier in the early 90's. Other than that I've owned their products my entire driving career. My ownership history as I remeber it;

I grew up in Walter P country...Kansas which for some odd reason peaked my interest in Walter and his products. Not to mention the impressive Chrysler building as it was originally. There also are some ties that my great grandfather came from Germany and worked eventually for the same railroad that Walter P once worked for in his early days. I'd like to think that somewhere down the line they may have met...but that's probably just the romantic in me.
Heading off to bed/gotta sleep so I can enjoy the Cool Car Drive In tomorrow...hope eveyone has a great weekend!
