can bus question

ok.. today i installed my audio system in my nitro. it sounds fantastic btw..
anyway, the harness that i bought at the local audio shop didn't fit so i used a pin-out diagram that i found in one of the forums (thanks bch) to get it done. i had to use the cig lighter positive lead for my ignition signal. (to turn the head unit on and off with the key) and i'm wondering if the fact that i don't have anything connected to the bus will cause any problems. i know that gm has an interior bus that if not propperly bypassed, will prevent the passenger side airbag from deploying. does any such "problem" exist in my beloved nitro?
if i need to purchase an adaptor of some sort i'll be happy to do it. however.. if it's not necessary, i'd rather hang on to my money.
thanks in advance...

alpine head unit
boston pro 6.5's in the doors
old school kicker 1" neo tweets in the factory locations (smooth as silk)
audio control active crossover (my mains are bi-amped)
alpine 4 channel amp for the tweets/mids
prifile 1000 watt mono amp (i hope it dies soon so i can upgrade with a clear concience)
2 mtx 10's in a big ported box. i'll shave that bad boy down this week and run them isobaric so i can reclaim some storage space.
this system represents years of wheeling and dealing. trades etc. basically trying to build a system that i like with a disapproving wife (ex now lol) who just doesn't understand the need for good tunes in my ride! hehe
i'll pick up another digital cam this week. my last one found itself under the right rear tire of my buddy's stealth at highway speed+ ouch. then i'll post some pics
