I had a thought today as I was killing some time looking around a Advance Auto Parts store,about The area that was keyed on my back lift gate, I saw rolls of Carbon fiber ( Was too cheep to be real $10 for 3in x 6ft) there was the grey and chrome. Any thoughts as to how that would look across the back?

I would do it but leave the bottom edge Orange so you would have a band just above the indented area to just below the 4X4 insignia. Would look good i think. You could always buy some, wrap it around the side of the tailgate, take some pics and post them to get some feedback before a final install.

it is deffintly not real carbon fiber, I deal with it alot and it is expensive but should look good regardless!

Yeah - do a dry run. For ten bucks you really can't go too wrong.

It looks worse in the pix, there is no dent just scratches in the clear coat,in fact now you have to get real close to notice it. I may try it in warmer weather or just check with my body guy as to a price we got talking about old friends and AMC days and I never asked how much I am guessing $50
