Which engine is it? Manual, or Auto?

Bushido
Same engine as the Libby's, don't you think this problem would have cropped up earlier in those vehicles?
We now have about 1000 miles on ours............no problems
We have almost 2K on ours, no problems
I hope it stays that way, I love this thing too much to have to get rid of it for mechanical problems.
scndlus...........we want to see pics...........everyone (well me) want to see real pictures of real vechicles............

What he said.
Hey everyone, I have been out of town for the last few weeks. As soon as I figure out how to attach pictures I will sure post them.
We now have about 1600 miles on ours and no problems. Hope it all works out.

The Liberty doesn't have Electronic Throttle control like the Nitro does. It's likely the rpm stradegy for a parking lot manouver/near idle situation may have some bugs that may be ironed out in the future with a possible software update.
So Did this problem Get resolved?
What was the diagnosis?

So far its an intermitent problem, and not every owner has had this happen to them. It has happened once with my Nitro during a parking lot manouver. There is not a definitive diagnosis of the problem but it likely has to do with the Electronic Throttle control programming or defective throttle bodies. There have been problems with the ETC bodies on the Ram trucks 5.7L but with different sypmtoms, although somewhat similar to the Nitro stalling.

i have had my nitro for about a week now, and it died once, pulling into a parkingspot at walmart. but there is only 250 miles on it now, do you guys think it will be ok after it get more miles on it?
You never know - dont risk it - take it in and tell them what happened - even if hte dont know its at least documented..

HOW MANY MILES?
My Nitro did this tonight, at a red light I turned the steering wheel all the way to the right. The damn thing just turned off on me! people were honking horns n ****, it was embarrassing to say the least. You can't stop traffic in NYC, people are crazy!!! I'll be letting the dealer know when I take back my factory caliber wheels tomorrow and get my custom wheels off my caliber. Jeeesh!
That sucks about the problem...but one question..why would you turn wheel all the way to the right while stopped? Thats really dangerous.
