CGS Air Intake

Hi Everyone,

I just got my CGS air intake for my 3.7L SLT.

When we took it out of its box, we realized that there is no installation instructions with it.

Has anyone installed one and can give me a little advice?

Thanks,
Sarah

OK I just looked them up. You should email them and ask for instructions. I'm sure they will comply...:)
Hi canadianlimey,

I have just send a message to them, asking for the installation instructions. I do hope they will send some along. It's been forever since I did any real work on cars, and then it was the golden oldies before pollution control was thought of! :)
haven't heard of that intake. wander over to the newbie section for your official welcome!
Hi Waldorf,

I wandered over and posted an intro. I'm new to the forum and wasn't sure where to start. Thanks for the guidance!
Well, so much for customer service.

I sent email to CGS last night, looking for installation instructions, help, whatever they could give me and not a response to be seen.

I should have gone with my first thought, which was the K&N, but I'm so tired of paying inflated prices for a name...

I'll keep you up-to-date on this issue. Right now, I'm disappointed that instead of being under my hood, my CAI is sitting on my hubby's work bench in the garage.
Well, the CAI is installed, and without any instructions from CGS. They haven't got back to me yet.

The MAF or IAT sensor was what gave us the most hassle, and thanks to some great poeple here, that problem was solved. The only thing left is the bracket, and I haven't a clue as to where that mounts.

I have been all through the engine compartment within reach of the CAI and hell if I can figure it out. I'll have to actually call them Monday about it.

In the meantime, of course it had to be tested and all I can say now is WOW! It's like driving a whole different vehicle! It's a huge improvement on take-off, my shifting RPMs is where I always thought it should be and I am definitely impressed!

Thanks for everyone's help here! This "newbie" is eternally grateful...

I've seen the pics and everything seems it is where it is supposed to be...Good job...
Everything but the bracket...which is sitting on the workbench in the garage.:D

Oh well, I'll call their tech support line tomorrow. There's no way I can leave it permanently without bracing it. It doesn't do a whole lot of bouncing, but it does some...the heavier my foot, the more it moves! ;)
