Changing Interior Lights

Hello All,

I just got my Nitro a few days ago. One of the first modifications I want to make is replacing the factory lightbulbs inside the vehicle with red lightbulbs (Dome light, Reading Light, door light, etc).

I've never done any custom work on autos before of any kind.

I think the lightbulbs are universal and that I could probably by some at any autoparts store. Can anyone advise?

go to www.superlumination.com and you want to look for the 44mm festoon bulbs. it takes 3

Hey Alex, I actually swapped my upper dome lights (map lights I think they're called) to blue led lights. It was very easy. I don't have the site I bought them from because I just swapped out my old computer which has the bookmark to it. If I get a chance tomorrow night I'll try to send you a link to the site. It was easy to do and inexpensive.

I also swapped out the lights that are under the dash down in the foot wells. I used blue led flexible light bars for that. It was easy to install.

I am replacing all of my interior lights with blue LEDs. Leaving the map lights white. Should get them any day and will post pictures!

Alex, I found the website I used to purchase the blue LED bulbs to replace the dome lights. That website is:

As far as the under dash light blue LED light bars, I purchased a flexible light bar from:

www.superbrightleds.com

my husband put them in. They are in all of our cars/trucks. Easy enough to take out the old ones and putting in the new ones. I think just getting the right colors was the hard part

Is this the same ones that you have in yours? I want to make sure I get the right ones

I replaced my 2 map lights, rear overhead & 2 by your feet with blue LED a while ago & love it. I bought both white & blue. I tried both colors but like the blue much more. FYI-I removed aluminum light guard on map lights & they are now a little brighter than before. At night time they look awesome. I have had several people ask me how I did it. I bought mine off of ebay & have had 0 problems with them. I replace back up lights with white LEDs & brake lights with red leds. The turn signal/brake lights went funky with LEDs in them so I swapped those back to the old incandescent ones. :Racing:

^does the lights by your feet take the same 44mm festoon bulbs as the other 3 on the top??
