Changing the oil filter tips please

1348 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Bobram
I have read all the threads here on this but the only advice I have seen is to buy a K&N filter with the nut for the next time. Well I don't think I'm going to fork out that kind of money just to make the oil change easier. I have the 3.7L BTW

Last time I changed the oil I was under the motor (the only way I know of doing it and contorting my arm and hand to get to it) and as you loosen the filter the oil drips on your shoulder if you are in the only position to get to the filter with leverage. Seems there is a little channel that directs the oil right on you.

Any advice or tips on how to do this any easlier and less messy on me?

Thanks
