NOT SURE IF I AM IN THE RIGHT PLACE? But anyway i want to fit this Chinese head unit in my 2009 nitro i had one in my old car and it did what i needed. you may think i am mad dumping the infinity but my reasons are valid
to the problem can anyone tell me what the factory amp and original radio actually run i have been told they run other things like handbrake warning reversing sensor warning etc. i have the head unit and the correct plug in adapter (from in car tech) bit of hard wiring in the iso side and i am ready to have a go but am worried that i might screw up something else on my dodge or maybe even stuff it completely i am sure you will understand my concerns the dodge wiring is a bit of a challenge at the best of times and everything is working fine at the moment and just like all of you i love my dodge and don't want to screw it up thanks for any help or advise you can give me Barry

I have not heard any adverse effects caused by HU replacements.
It is actually the other way around. The cluster controls some of the HU functions(VIA the steering wheel buttons[if you have them]), the WCM controls the time display, the backup switch controls the backup camera display switch(if you have a camera).
If you have a factory Amp and /or steering wheel buttons, and want to keep their functionality, you will need the correct harness adapter to do so.

think i have got it ready to go i do have factory amp and SWC in car tech sorted me right out with the harnesses and a guy called Jonathon was rite on with advise. (i have the harness with the canbus device) on another note the heater motor stopped the other day no go at all took the trim out and gave it a tap with a piece of wood started right up still going but i guess a replacement is going to be necessary in the future thanks for the help and advise regards Barry
