My guess would be dealers - but Id hope online retailers would sell it too..
Kicker option might be nice if it tied in with the infinity system too..
Interesting...My dealer ran the part number and quoted me $359.Member AdamC says discounted price is $474.75.. and can seriously do a group buy.

He DID say that addnig this MOPAR part would void my warranty.
Oops I should clarify too....talking about the CAI....
Kicker,
I asked the same question and pushed it hard. They said because it's a performance part not normally part of the car.
Kicker, before you rush out and buy one of these, it would be a good idea to ask some of the other members that have already put these type high flow filters on their Nitro what change in fuel economy they have noticed.
I pulled the K&N filter from my 4.0L today because I saw a drop of 2-3 miles per gallon over the last week that I had it installed. It just wasn't worth it for me.
I would like to know what others are seeing on the 3.7L.
I would like to know the same info for those that have purchased the K&N drop-ins for both engines.
I actually saw a 2-3 mpg increase in fuel mileage after I installed the K&N drop in my 3.7. I wonder why yours dropped. I have been using K&N filters for years and never had drop in mpg.Kicker, before you rush out and buy one of these, it would be a good idea to ask some of the other members that have already put these type high flow filters on their Nitro what change in fuel economy they have noticed.

they can't void your warranty because you put on a cai. they have to prove that the cai caused the problem there is a law for this. here is a link to it. It is called the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act of 1975.Interesting...My dealer ran the part number and quoted me $359.

they are not allowed to void the warranty for having aftermarket parts on your car. thats what the magnuson moss warranty act is for. most of the time if a dealer tells you that your warranty is voided for aftermarket parts you can tell them about magnuson warranty act and they will change there attitude.
Yours was the one I was most curious about. My filter is the large K & N one just like you have.My gas mileage increased after the K&N went on.
Bob, I have no idea why it made my mileage drop so much. I was doing a "reset all" on the EVIC every day last week to monitor the fuel mileage. On Friday, I ran the A/C most of the day and the fuel mileage was down to 15.3 MPG. Today, again reset EVIC after reinstalling stock filter, now the fuel mileage is back up to 18.7 MPG around town with A/C. I guess it could have something to do with also having the free flow exhaust on mine? I might be willing to try the K & N drop in like you have.i installed the K&N drop in filter and have so far seen an increase in mileage from 17.5 to 18.3 MPG
Adam, why are you willing to sell us CAI units if you think they will void our warranties? Shouldn't you at least tell us up front they could cause us warranty problems? Essentially, you have volunteered that info. now, but only after the subject was brought up.well there is a lot of people with restrictions then.. in the owners manual it states that aftermarket or non-OE parts can void warranty..From my own experience Cars that appear done up get nixed..
