Speed, your dealer had to put a hold on your build until MyGIG became available January 8th. After that it went into the sea of other "entries" that all piled into the raffle hopper at the same time. OK, I am using analogies here, but essentially the dam broke and the factory was flooded with orders at the same time. Then the factory had to sort throught the orders and certainly there was some emphasis placed on dealer allocations. But then remember they had to do the test runs to determine the radio was viable, then they were shut down a week to ramp up for the '08 Jeep Liberty Production, yada, yada, yada. . . they have really only been building them with MyGIG for three weeks. So all in all, after having to wait two and half months just to order MyGIG, then another month to a month and a half for testing. . . well geez, that is just simply a lot of excuses isn't it. I am waiting also, mine is most likely two weeks away from a build date. I wanted one in October also, but I waited until January 8 to put my order in because my dealer told me they would have to put a hold on the order anyway due to unavailability of parts.
I'll tell you story, yeah I'm wound up this evening, the reason a three or four month wait doesn't bother me much anymore. Back in 1998, Chevy introduced the 'new improved' 1999 Silverado. They went into production early in 1998. My buddy at the dealership at that time called me and told me I could get one early if I wanted. So April 10, 1998 I ordeded a 1999 Silverado extended cab Z71 4X4 stepside. Just over one month later, GM went on strike. If you remember, that was a very long strike. I ended up getting my truck on February 2, 1999. Long story short, most of the things that have gone on while we have been waiting for Nitro's make me sit back and chuckle because I know how bad things could really be under different circumstances. I think we are very lucky to be getting such nice vehicles for our investment.
