Conspiracy against me!!!!!

I see that a few of you lucky folks got your MyGIG Nitros already (many who waited a much shorter time than I have!!).

I have waited since the end of October (the 30th to be exact) and still no Nitro!! I never knew I could be so patient. The daimler chrystler rep informed us that mine was being built today (pushing back my ship date AGAIN which was yesterday) and I should finally get mine next week. I am happy, and can wait till next week without pulling out my hair or anything, but I am curious about the ordering politics that mine came after people who have been waiting less time that I have.

My only guess would be that I ordered my from a dealership in a small wisconsin town vs. some of the dealerships in the big cities. Well, at least that is the way i am going to rationalize it to keep from whining too much!!

Well...the glass is half full, it was just this week that all of the car damaging salt on the roads is gone!!

This is only a guess: but it looks like they started building the RT's first and then are moving down to the SLT's with Mygig.

The size of the dealership does affect ordering some. Each dealership is given a number of cars they are allowed to order per ordering period. The bigger the dealership, the more they can order.
You will be getting yours , after 99% of the problems with SLT's are gone & all the salt is gone from the roads, Meaning its the top half of your glass that is full. What could be better than that.:pepper:
Speed, your dealer had to put a hold on your build until MyGIG became available January 8th. After that it went into the sea of other "entries" that all piled into the raffle hopper at the same time. OK, I am using analogies here, but essentially the dam broke and the factory was flooded with orders at the same time. Then the factory had to sort throught the orders and certainly there was some emphasis placed on dealer allocations. But then remember they had to do the test runs to determine the radio was viable, then they were shut down a week to ramp up for the '08 Jeep Liberty Production, yada, yada, yada. . . they have really only been building them with MyGIG for three weeks. So all in all, after having to wait two and half months just to order MyGIG, then another month to a month and a half for testing. . . well geez, that is just simply a lot of excuses isn't it. I am waiting also, mine is most likely two weeks away from a build date. I wanted one in October also, but I waited until January 8 to put my order in because my dealer told me they would have to put a hold on the order anyway due to unavailability of parts.

I'll tell you story, yeah I'm wound up this evening, the reason a three or four month wait doesn't bother me much anymore. Back in 1998, Chevy introduced the 'new improved' 1999 Silverado. They went into production early in 1998. My buddy at the dealership at that time called me and told me I could get one early if I wanted. So April 10, 1998 I ordeded a 1999 Silverado extended cab Z71 4X4 stepside. Just over one month later, GM went on strike. If you remember, that was a very long strike. I ended up getting my truck on February 2, 1999. Long story short, most of the things that have gone on while we have been waiting for Nitro's make me sit back and chuckle because I know how bad things could really be under different circumstances. I think we are very lucky to be getting such nice vehicles for our investment.

I think that there is something to the fact that the Rt's are holding up slt's. I ordered in the first part of november and still do not have my slt. It is built and in transit, but it was not completed at the factory until many of the rt's were already delivered. I am patient though. Alot of the bugs are worked out now so it will hopefully mean less trips to the dealer. I have also gained alot of knowledge from all the good people on this site. That will also help me if there are issues with the nitro.

That makes some sense I guess. Don't get me wrong, as I stated in my post, I am not angry or antsy (I usually would be but somehow was very patient throughout). The Dealer is still giving me the same tradfe in value as they were going to 6000 miles ago and I have an extra 1000 paid off on my current vehicle so that is also good news...and I believe they are offereing me a couple year's worth of free oil changes for my troubles and patience and the fact that I have had 4 different stories about this whole thing....so I am looking at the bright side.
