I’ve had my 08 SLT for 11 years. I’ve gone through about 7 batteries. I’ve had to jump it a few times. Now, the new battery won’t hold a charge. Alternator check went . Could it be the fuse is fried? Please give me some direction. I can jump it and it works, but then when I go to start it-it won’t start again. HELP!

I still would replace the alternator. Sounds like it's frying your batteries.

Thanks- we tested the alternator. It has no issues? Also it was replaced in 2011 when I got the car.
I see 2008 Slt has a lot of electrical issues in watching this forum.

Dunno if this helps, but make sure your brake lights don’t stay on after you turn the car off. That was my problem and I’m still tracking down the short.

remove the positive cable, run a tester in series w/the two prongs, and test for amperage.

Anything probably more than 100ma, you have a bad draw. Start pulling fuses until no draw is shown.
