So i was doing a coolant flush on my 2007 ntro slt 4x4. I opened up the lower radiator drain plug on the driver side some coolant came out and then it slowed down and stopped, i also had the refill cap and reservoir cap opened up under the hood. i still saw alot of coolant in the refill/reservoir tank so i decided to go ahead and unplugged the lower radiator hose and nothing came out from there. i did some research and found that if you start your car until the thermostat opens u it should force out the remaining coolant, and i tried that i heard the thermostat kick in after 10 minutes and some more coolant came out but then it stopped but its still not completely empty can anyone help with this?

That seems 'normal'. It sounds like you've removed all of the old coolant that you can without a complete removal of the cooling system. (There will be some coolant in the heater core as well) Just flush it out and put the new coolant in.
