Does anyone elses cruise control only work when it wants to??? Could this possibly be related to the cutting on and off the vehicle does?? I was just wondering because my cruise control only works when it wants to. Mine is the manual transmission.. I bought my nitro in November so i got one of the way EARLY models.

Wondering, does the speed control always switch on when selected (the "cruise" icon lights up on the instrument cluster)? Or, that works normally and you can't set your speed? Haven't heard of any issues with speed control operation at this point. :)

Thanks for the heads up HighVoltage!! Looking through my knowledge base there have been no reported issues with the speed control. I really can't offer a solution really other then the vehicle has to go to the dealer. I can speculate that the intermittent operation may be caused by loose connections possibly with the switch or within the steering column module. :)

The cruise control on my Nitro R/T works perfectly. I use it whenever I am on the highway. Does the "Cruise" indicator light display when the cruise control is engaged? The cruise control will disengage with the manual transmission whenever the clutch is depressed, as I recall. I have an automatic, so I cannot test this, but I seem to recall reading that depressing the clutch disengages the cruise control.

The cruise control on ours has always worked great. I have found that it maintains the closest to the set speed an any we have owned. You cannot feel the on/off of the gas. My son has a Land Rover and he says he cannot use the cruise due to the constant surging of the gas.

When I say it doesn't work I mean that when you push the button to turn it on the dash light for the cruise control wont light up. I know that whenever you push the clutch or the brake that it will turn off..
