Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been away...I sure have missed alot, I'm sure. :(

I ordered a custom windshield decal a few weeks ago and have been dying to get it. Today it came in the mail, so I skipped out of work early and took it over to the speed shop to have it put on. :Racing:

The young guys working there had a go, but it didn't go on straight and was full of bubbles. Well, they got most of the bubbles out, but couldn't straighten it. :shakehead:

Standing back to look at it, I was appalled to see my nice red lettering now looked more orangey. I guess that's the downfall of having such a nice deep red paint on the Nitro.

Anyway, I decided to live with it for now, but as I was leaving, the owner showed up. He was less than impressed. He took some pics, some measurements and told me he has a woman who does decals and stickers as a customer, so he'd get me a better and proper one made, something in a deeper red with my custom saying. And he said he'd install it himself.

Needless to say, I can't wait to get the new one and hope it doesn't take forever. I will post photos, but not until I have the new decal installed; then I'll post before (orangey crooked decal) and after (brand new deeper red decal) pics.

It's already getting me second looks so I know it will look awesome when I get the better one finally installed! :D

As promised...

Finally, the new sticker came in and I had it installed today, compliments of Rob Kleins at Robson Racing. Rob not only had the sticker custom made for me, but installed it on the Nitro himself...this is a shop owner who still believes in hands-on for the customers!

You can get an idea of the orangey red colour of the first sticker in the first and second pics...not to mention the crookedness of the installation. :(

In the 3rd pic, you can see the deeper red colour of the new sticker, plus the excellent installation job.

In the last pic, Rob said stand by the Nitro for a pic. Then he said, smile for heaven's sake. I told him I hate having my pic taken. He told me to picture a garden hose...picture a golf ball...picture the golf ball inside the garden hose...now imagine yourself trying to....well, can't finish that line or I'll be in trouble again, but needless to say I was roaring with laughter. :D :chuckle:

Hope you all enjoy the pics!

that's a cool loooooooong sticker, good you didn't run out of room:chuckle:,nice smile the nitro girls are not only cool modders they're cute women too:cool:
The first one I had installed was 38" but it was too short. Rob and I got out the tape measure and decided to go with 45" long and 3.75" tall; the first one was 4.5" tall.

As to the cute comment, I guess there are definitely some good-looking women here. I can't say I'm one of them though. You'll have to check out MG for that! :D

It looks great Sarah, for sure I'll know it's you coming now. :rep:

Have you used that shop before? I don't recognize where it is.
Oh yes, you'll see me coming a mile away now! :chuckle:

Robson Racing is the only place that all of our non-warranty service is done. My husband has been taking all our cars there for about 8 years now. He knows everyone who works there, and they know us.

It's just off Kirkwood Ave...it's actually on Woodward Ave. If you ever go in there and talk to either Rob or Tim, just let them know I recommended them to you. :Racing:
