Anyone know what differences there will be in the 2008, other than maybe a couple changes in color, four wheel drive, and the removable picnic table? I can't imagine there being too many changes from what is available now or been discussed before.

Frankly, I doubt that there will be any changes whatsoever from this to the next year. As a former Hemi Magnum owner yes this truck would benefit from that truely beatiful, powerful and fantastically efficient smooth running MDS Hemi engine ....that would be SO FINE..I would quickly upgrade if they did that.

LOL! ya, pretty sure they'll still have the Nitro for 2008- question is WHO will be building it....... Won't be Daimler, that's for sure.Just a silly question...Is the Nitro on the schedule to be made in 2008????
Considering the new Liberty is basically a Nitro -- which is kind of funny to say considering how much of the Nitro is the old Liberty -- I'd say the Nitro will probably be around for awhile. Check out the photos if you haven't seen it yet. Other than the grille... it's a Nitro. So I wonder if the Nitro will get the Liberty's weird full-length fabric roof?Just a silly question...Is the Nitro on the schedule to be made in 2008????
That top can be opened either to the front or back. I doubt we'll see in in the Nitro though. We can only hope that big sunroof makes it into the Nitro! It's a little weird that it pushes forward instead of backward, and it's not open over the front seats. Hopefully that part will change.
You are absolutely correct......I doubt we'll see in in the Nitro though.
unless they can get a trans that will handle it you wont want one.the stories from the liberty people about the power downgrade from the computer flash doesnt sound good.Ironic that we always want more
Nitro owners would love to have a MDS HEMI and here I am with a Magnum RT AWD and I'd love to trade it for a European version that come with the CRD!
I'm glad to see that the people at allpar who wrote this interesting article also have noticed that "Edmunds" and "Consumers Report" both regularly destroy any products put out by the big 3 automakers and gush all over the japanese models. Thats why it's best to look at real life comments about vehicles on this sort of forum.Considering the new Liberty is basically a Nitro -- which is kind of funny to say considering how much of the Nitro is the old Liberty -- I'd say the Nitro will probably be around for awhile.
