My Nitro is in the shop for an oil change and safety inspection. The dealer reccomended that the Diff. fluid should be changed. They wanted $259.99 to do so, is this price reasonable? From what I understand the local jiffy lubes charge signifigantly less. Of course I would want the dealer to do it but I also don't want to pay too much. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just got mine changed last Saturday. Both axles came to $215.00 after tax at the dealership I bought it from. I called another dealership nearby to compare and they were at about $250.00 so I don't think your quote is unreasonable.

The dealers should be shot. The gasket should be about $14 and two bottles of diff fluid maybe another $20 plus $75 for labor and disposal for the half hour of work per diff would be closer to right.

My service schedule says 15000 miles. I think it is too often in my book but fresh grease won't hurt. That is unless you develop a leak and don't notice until the rear is falling out of your NItro. :Na_Na_Na_Na:
