Apparantly this isn't anything new. Chrysler has done it for a few years to auto transmissions. We've speculated in here that it was done for legal reasons...... to keep idiots from sticking their finger in something while the engine is running. :SHOCKED:

I like going over my Nitro checking the oil and what not and i'm not happy with the fact that Dodge decided to take away the transmission dip stick.What's that all about ? Hope it's not just another way to save a couple of bucks.
