Yeah it definitely seems to be a hard fix with these cars, apparently some times it can be an issue with a fuse box - the M25 fuse to be exact, I'm not sure if that will work for you but it seems to have fixed quite a few nitros in my area with the same issue . Here's a video on how it's done, may be worth a shot.

Try the relay trick, cheapest possible solution out there honestly.

Just wanted to give the answer to what helped me. Turns out 3 of my injectors were faulty/clogged or whatever. Ended up picking up new ones and car works perfectly

two months now, no issues at all. Starts in one second, and the problem was pretty random, only giveaway was it tanking my fuel economy beforehand. No rough driving, just rough idling at times, very rarely.

If you are still having success, I am going to go to my mechanic. If you don't mind me asking, what was total cost? I haven't had an episode in a few weeks, but that doesn't mean it won't happen this morning!

Well injectors around my area are really hard to come across, for this engine at least. So, the 2.8 crd, but if you have the same engine a lot of parts are shared with jeep cherokees, liberties and in the case of my specific injectors jeep wranglers. They were pretty expensive, going for around 150eu each, but I ended up changing them myself so I don't get charged for work I can do myself

I am having this problem.. there is a lot of things it is not. i know because i have changed them. my rail pressure is between 6000 and 9000. when it starts there is no problem.. lately i have tried aerostart and it starts every time.. the only thing i have noticed is the cranking speed on startup is 212 rpm... this may be too low..

Hi I had a long cranking issue with my dodge 2.8crd .some days it would take 30 seconds plus.and other times back to normal.I am a self taught mechanic 40 years plus.So I thought I would fix it myself. The main problem I found was low fuel pressure .thought it was the pump or injectors but it turned out to be the main fuel line from the fuel filter to the pump.It was sucking in air but not leaking diesel.took off the alternator and air compressor pump and replaced the plastic push fit fuel line with a rubber fuel line with jubilee clips each end .no more long cranking .

sorry did it about 2years ago.the reason it would start better depending on temperature outside .plastic expanding.took off alternator and air pump and got the other half to crank it while I pushed on the fitting.and the car stalled .replaced with rubber hose and I have not had any starting issues since.did a 1000 mile round trip from Somerset to norfolk then to Lincolnshire had no probs .
