Just recieved a 07 Nitro as a graduation gift. I was looking to upgrade the audio... When I have the sound up around max the front speakers start to produce a crackling sound... What type of speakers are on the 6 speaker SXT... Any questions just ask im new to this forum and dont know a whole lot about this type of stuff.. id def need someone to install new speakers for me...

Infinity makes the OEM factory speakers for the Nitro. Don't expect too much from the factory unless you have the upgraded sound system. Swapping out factory speakers is a quick way add some nicer clarity to your system.

Your speakers are distorting from lack of power from the headunit. Let me know if I can help.​

Yep, what he said. The OEM stereos do not have a whole of lot good, clean power and when you have it cranked like you do, a lot of distortion happens. Also, just changing the speakers won't help much and actually could make matters worse. The best/easiest thing would be to swap out the stereo for a nice aftermarket one or to install a nice 4 ch. amp.

Thanks for the replies... I'm 18 headed to college so its not like i really have alot of money for this... I mean I could burn 500 fixing it up but I have and old 1988 Chevy Caprice that ive been wanted to fix up too... So i might just focus on that... Not sure yet..
