dodge nitro oem sparkplug part number?
The 07 through 11, 3.7L part # is SPZFR6F11G.
The 07 through 11, 4.0L part # is SZFR5LP13G.
Is there a spark plug upgrade for the nitro? like NGKs or something?
Not through MOPAR there is not an upgrade you would have to go aftermarket.
The OEM spark plug for a 2010 SXT 3.7 what brand would that be Advanced auto said DensoPK20TT would be the one to use.Is this correct?
It should be a Champion , mopar number SPZFR6F11G . If you provide this info to them they should be able to cross it to another brand if you are doing so.
The Denso PK20TT is a platinum plug. Not recommended for a 3.7. They don't seem to run well on platinum. Use a coper plug like the NGK 6987.
My 07 came with NGK from factory.
I replaced my plugs about 2 weeks ago. They were the NGK 6987's. .43 was written on the boxes, pregapped I assumed. Well I lost 2 miles on the gallon. Why am I losing milage? Should I re gap them???
NGK ZFR6F-11G Gaped at 0.043, is correct for the 3.7.
Not sure why the mileage loss; unless you are letting your rig warm up longer, your area just switched to winter grade gas, or it is possible they were not gaped correctly.
I never thought about the winter grade gas. I forgot all about it. That does fit the time frame. I am going to check the gaps also. Couldn't hurt any...
